According to Oklahoma State Representative Jason Murphey Oklahoma has the 3rd highest State Legislature in the nation! Yet they are one of the smaller states.
Guys like Mike Ritze (the savior from Broken Arrow, OK) seem to have no challenge opposing taxpayer initiatives that support their local communities and schools yet he’s happy to accept his generous part-time salary, plus reimbursements and perks.
Since January 1 Legislators Have Taken: $5,089,384.80 in taxpayer funded salaries. That’s the highest in the region!

Kansas $83.14 per day ($7,316 on 88 day session)
Texas $7,200 per year
New Mexico $0 per year
Shame on your Mr. Ritze for not working to reduce the excess in the State Legislature. Shame on you for opposing the children in your own city who need better schools. While you’re busy cutting school funding in votes at the State Capitol, the kids in your own town are trying to get a quality public education during common rain and hail storms inside pre-fab buildings that were flooded in the 80’s.
Keep taking those medicare payments and OK taxpayer salaries. Wonder if you’ve ever been accused of being on “government welfare”???
